Valentine Sweets for My Sweets

Hi there!  Has the sugar rush subsided yet?  My kids had Valentine's Day parties at school....and that means they came home on a sugar high!  And I added to their rush last night with these...bad Mommy!  Each treat bag is a bit different...I gave my children (and my husband!) some of their favorite goodies...gummy bears, chocolate covered raisins, a milk chocolate Dove bar, Werther's hard candies.  Each has a different tag as well.  Aren't they cute?

I made sure the bags were hidden before the kids left for school today....Mom has little self-control!  :-)  My daughter's bag isn't shown here, but I attached to it the card I made for her HERE.

Recipe
Hearts & shadow - Cricut George & Basic Shapes
Scalloped circle & circle - Cricut Mini Monograms
'be mine' - Cricut Simply Charmed
'Love You' - Cricut Baby Steps
Patterned paper - DCWV Holiday stack
Cardstock - Recollections
Bunny, doggy stamps - Michael's dollar bin
Red adhesive "backless" brads, yarn - from my stash
Stampin' Up ink
Colorbox chalk ink
Black Creative Memories marker, white Gelly Roll pen for doodling/stitching
Recollections dimensionals
Glue dots

I'm entering my treat bags into 3 challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #50 - Create a Valentine's Day project which includes a heart.  Each of my treat bags has at least one.
Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #52 - Create a project using at least 2 colors from red, pink, black and white.
Whimsical Wednesday's "Colors of Love" challenge - Create a project using red, white and one more color.  I chose black for my third color.

Have a great day!

Christmas Treat Bags for My Students...and Other Crafty Goodness!

Hi everyone, it's snowing here in southeastern Massachusetts....looks like we might have a white Christmas after all!  The weather folks forecasted no more than 2 inches of snow for our area, but it's been snowing for 24 hours now with no end in sight.  I'd better look for my kids' winter boots before they get home from school.  I know they'll be itching to get outside with their sleds!  :-)  I posted a picture below....look at all that white stuff!

I wanted to share with you the treat bags I made up for my 3rd grade CCD students.  I love the toppers....all of the images are from Paper Doll Dress Up (one of my all-time favorite Cricut cartridges).

My children and I also made glittered ornaments and angel ornaments.  These will be given to friends, family and my children's CCD teachers.  This was the first year we attempted either of these projects...and I'm pleased to say that they were both quick and easy!  Yea!  The instructions for the glitter ornaments can be found HERE and those for the angel ornaments are HERE.

This will most likely be my last post until after Christmas.  My to-do list is still quite long (yours too, I'd bet!) so I won't be crafting any more until Santa has come and gone.  But I wish you all the happiest of holidays....may they be merry and bright!

Hugs,
Sharon
