Ok, ok. Today's post is a cute little Valentine's Day card I made for my 8 year-old daughter. She saw a pink sock monkey at a store last week and announced that although all three of her brothers have one, she doesn't. "Why don't I have one?" I really couldn't answer. Her brothers received theirs at different times as gifts. So, I decided to make this card so that she can have one of her own. Well, sort of. :-)
I had to make it in pink, her favorite color. I cut the sock monkey and the postage-stamp background shape from the B is for Boy cartridge. I guess 'B' can also be for 'Girl'. :-) I added lots of little details - the red glitter paper for the sock monkey's heart, mouth and hat, the glittered heart-shaped brads, the red ribbon, the maraschino twine and the pink pom pom. Can't glam it up enough for my girl!! The card is a 3x3 size for the Fantabulous Cricut's Valentiny Card challenge. I don't recommend cutting the sock monkey smaller than 2 3/4 inches!! The eyes were too small to cut, so I used the pieces left over from the interior of the letter 'B' on my black EK Success bubble letter set. Fit perfectly!
