Saying Goodbye to Family Friends

Friends of ours just decided to move to Denver at the end of August.  We were really sad to hear this news...they are a great family...super parents, fun kids.  My oldest son was lucky enough to be coached in soccer last year by the dad and led by the mom in his cub scout troop.  We're really going to miss them!!  The cub scout den, self-titled the "Penguin Patrol", held a going away pool party in her honor last weekend complete with a homemade cake decorated with a penguin theme and a lovely gift.

Well, I'd like my son to send his leader a card before they leave, so I decided to try my hand at a shaped penguin card.  I used some leftover material from a Webelos neckerchief (from another project) to make a tiny neckerchief for this little guy, and used the fleur de lis from Gypsy Wanderings to create the neckerchief "slide".  What do you think?

Recipe

Fleur de lis - Gypsy Wanderings
Gold "slide" - beehive shadow (upside down) from Gypsy Wanderings

I am so loving this card. The scarf is the cutest thing ever :) Oh! The sticky tape that I use is the red sticky tape. The name escapes me. I will try and remember next time I go to the store and see the brand. Sorry.
