Mother's Day Card for Two Challenges

Hi everyone!  Once again, it's been a while since I posted...that's what happens when the kids are on school vacation!!  :-)  Anyway, I hope you've all been enjoying the weekend....and I know it's a bit early but Happy Easter!

Today I have a Mother's Day card to share with you.  I made it for my mom who loves flowers and grows beautiful gardens...her thumb is forest green!  The shaped card is from the Birthday Bash cartridge, the flowers are from Pooh and Friends and the sentiment (inside the card) is from Holiday Cakes.  I loved this bouquet of flowers when I came upon it while looking for an image to use on a child's birthday card and knew it would be pretty for Mother's Day.  I cut all layers and cut the flowers twice - once in blue, once in lavendar - to try to duplicate the color of my own hydrangea bushes.  They're a favorite of my mom...unfortunately, they don't grow well in her area but they thrive in my sandy soil.  The flowers are popped up, so is the green oval layer.  I added flat-backed pearls to the flower centers, embossed the card layer with the Swiss Dots folder and added a few white gel pen accents.  Oh, I can't forget all the inking with my favorite chestnut roan chalk ink...it's addictive!

Recipe
Shaped card from Birthday Bash cartridge
Flowers from Disney Pooh and Friends
Ovals from George & Basic Shapes
'Happy Mother's Day' from Holiday Cakes
Patterned paper - BasicGrey Lily Kate
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics, Recollections
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
Recollections flat-backed pearls
White Gelly Roll pen
EK Success dimensionals
Chestnut roan Cat's Eye chalk ink

I'm entering this card into 2 challenges:
Cardz TV: Mother's Day Color Challenge - Use the colors blue, green, purple and white to make a Mother's Day card, layout or craft project.
Cricut Cardz Challenge #71 - Make a card for Mother's Day, using any colors or cartridges you'd like.

Have a lovely Easter!
